DIY Framed Botanical Prints with Free Botanical Printables

This has been one of the coldest winters I’ve experienced here on the gulf coast. Just when I think we might get a break from cold temperatures, the weather dips back down into the sub zero temps again.  I find that when I get the “winter blues” the best way to snap out of it is to recreate a space in my home. Let me be more specific, the best way for me to get rid of the winter blues is to recreate a space with fun spring decor like my new DIY botanical prints. I’ve created a set of six DIY framed botanical prints with free botanical printables for under twenty dollars.

I’ve had my eye on a set of botanical prints for a while now. I’ve seen them at Target, Houzz, and of course all over Pinterest.  I did look to purchase a set on Amazon, but I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for.

I don’t know what it is that I love about spring time botanical prints. Maybe it’s the idea that warmer weather and more sunny days are on the way? I feel like they add an element of warmth to a space. Don’t you think?

I knew I wanted to hang them in my modern farmhouse entryway, I just didn’t know how many or how big. I could either do a few large botanical prints or a handful of smaller ones.

I decided I wanted a set of six framed botanical prints especially when I found a great deal on six frames from Walmart.   I wanted the botanical prints to measure 5 by 6 instead of the frame measurements of 8 by 10.  The frames I found are called “float picture frames” and I liked the idea of being able to see around the print. I could have printed the botanical prints to fit the entire frame, but I wanted something a little different.

First things first, I had to find free vintage botanical printables! After searching for free images online, I finally found a set of six botanical prints that I was happy with.

After you download these to your computer, you can either print them yourself or send the files to a print store. I chose to have them printed at a local print store (my printer is pretty sorry).

I love the way these frames look. There are two sides to the frame. The first side is a heavier plastic that looks more like glass. The back piece of plastic is a little flimsier but still decent quality for the price!

What do y’all think of my new floor lamp? I was excited about it when it came, but I’m sort of regretting this purchase…I hate when I do that.

I hope y’all enjoyed this post and my free botanical printables. I would love for you to save this to Pinterest {here} or just tap the image below. Thanks friends.

Love the “God is good all the time” decoration…..DIY or purchased?

    • Hi Judy,
that was sort of a DIY/purchase. I got the sign AND the little metal box from hobby lobby and glued the sign in the box and added a picture hanger clip on the back. BOOM, I had a cute little sign.

  13. Hey Lindsey! I LOVE vintage prints and the way you framed them and arranged them on your wall is perfect!

Just wanted to let you know that this will be featured at The Farmhouse Friday Link Party #46! Thanks so much for sharing it at the party and have a wonderful weekend!

They look great although I’m liking your bench more! I need something like this for our utility room when we’ve cleared it out. Ideally I’d like one for the hall but it won’t fit as the only place is the stair way place and then it would block the under stairs cupboard #sharingthebloglove

  15. Lindsey, these are lovely. You’re right: botanical prints are so often very expensive. These look wonderful, and I’m impressed at the way you made them look high-end at a low-end price! Thank you for the free printables.

  42. I actually love the lamp, especially how you’re using it with your other entryway items; it adds a nice edge to the more traditional pieces. I really hope it “grows” on you. As for the prints, the symmetry of six together looks great. And they’re ideal for spring!
