Amy Howard Home One Step Paint

Amy Howard One Step Paint review

Amy Howard Home paints are known as some of the premier furniture paints on the market. If you are looking for a great furniture paint with a One-Step Application look no further. Forget stripping, sanding, or priming. This all in one paint does the work for you, giving you the clean, crisp finish you want without the extra elbow grease.

Pros:

  • Fully water-based formula is completely VOC-free
  • Great on Wood, glass, fabric, resin, melamine, Formica, concrete, iron, and stone plus it’s durable enough for outdoor furniture and décor
  • Available in dozens of colors

Cons:

  • While this is a “one-step” paint that provides superior coverage, using a lighter color when painting furniture that has dark tannins or bright colors could take 2-3 coats

While I haven’t ever used their “one step” paint, I’ve used a handful of other Amy Howard products like their liming wax and I’ve been very pleased.

One big plus about this paint compared to the other is that it is completely VOC free so it’s safe to use in your house.

Buying Guide

When looking for the best all-in-one paint, there are a few features you should consider to ensure you choose the right product. As someone who has researched and used all-in-one paints before, I can offer some guidance on what to look for.

Color options

One of the most important features to consider when choosing an all-in-one paint is the range of colors available. You want to make sure the paint you choose has the color options you need for your project.

Finish

Another important feature to consider is the finish of the paint. All-in-one paints typically come in a variety of finishes, including matte, satin, and gloss. The finish you choose will depend on the look you want to achieve. A matte finish (like with Country Chic) will give a more natural look, while a gloss finish (available with Krylon Spray paint) will give a more polished look.

Coverage

When choosing an all-in-one paint, it’s important to consider the coverage it provides. Look for a paint that offers good coverage with just one coat. Like I said before, Krylon spray paint is great for outdoor projects but doesn’t go very far. Keep that in mind when thinking of cost per project.

Durability

All of these paints offer great durability without adding an extra top coat.

Ease of use

Finally, consider the ease of use of the paint. Look for a paint that is easy to apply and dries quickly. This will save you time and make your project go smoothly.

I hope this review has helped you choose a great All in One paint. As always, thanks for stopping by.
