I’ve got a treat for you today because this post is all about a fun Halloween DIY. More specifically, it’s about how to make your own Halloween candle holder with supplies from the Dollar Store. Yippee for budget friendly crafts.
Once we hit September it’s smooth sailing to Halloween and then right around the corner is Thanksgiving and then comes the best time of the year; Christmas! Can you tell I’m a wee bit excited for this time of year? One of my favorite things to do is create easy crafts and fun holiday decor.

What are your favorite types of crafts to create? I love Halloween crafts because I feel like it’s the one time of year when you can use exceptionally bold colors (orange and yellows and blacks!) and get away with it!
I tend to decorate with neutral colors the rest of the year, so this is the time to throw in some color!
Want to know my favorite part about this DIY candle holder? All of the supplies are from the dollar store.
Let me show you the supplies you need from the dollar store.

- Glass canisters; purchased two different sizes (Small and Large) for varying height.
- Glass cylinder vase; make sure these fit fairly snug inside the glass canisters.
- Candy corn
- Candles
- Ribbon
- Hot glue gun

This is a super easy Halloween DIY. All you need are the supplies and the rest consists of putting it together!
Just in case you would rather read how I put these holiday candle holders together, I’ll recap it for you below.
How to make Halloween Candle Holders with supplies from the dollar store
- Pour the candy corn in the glass canisters
- Shuffle the glass cylinder vases in the canisters around the candy corn until the vase sits near the bottom
- Hot glue a ribbon around the mouth of the canisters
- Place a candle in the middle
- ENJOY!

After the Halloween season is over you can replace it with Christmas candy, or any season candy for that matter!

Happy crafting friends!
